The House
Dating from around the 17th century, Maison La Roque is a stone built house sitting below the chateau near the top of the village.
The house has a breakfast room and a living room with an open fire, with games, widescreen TV and a DVD player for DVD's and music. Guests can also use the library that has French and English novels, reference books, dictionaries, maps and local information.
Outside there are two south facing terraces where you can have breakfast, sunbathe, or relax under the palm tree by the plunge pool. On a lower level there is a garden with a fig and olive tree accesed by a spiral staircase.
The house makes an ideal centre for those interested in organising small workshop holidays and extra facilities can be provided for this. Later in the year short provencale cookery workshops and wine tasting days are planned in association with the auberge opposite. Contact us if you would like further details.
If you need to stay in touch, you can connect your laptop to our broadband ADSL using WiFi/Airport.
Unfortunately we have no wheelchair access and guests should be confident negotiating some narrow stone stairs. There are also some low beams so please mind your head.
Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
